Iban is an online platform providing investment opportunities. We offer a fixed interest rate, which comes from investment in loans given by different loan originators - a simple and transparent alternative to the traditional banking system. Currently, we offer products with a selection of different terms and returns. All investments are backed by collateral (property), and all loans come with a Buyback Guarantee and coverage from our Safeguard Trust.

But… growing also brings some pains.

The signup flow was one of the first growth problems we had.

A user perception that the registration process was too complex/long, precisely because it was broken into two distinct steps, and because the copy at the end of each flow was confusing.

Users couldn’t understand if they were already registered by finalising the signup or the KYC process.

So, how did we solve it?

Signup and KYC, together. By August, we decided to merge these two flows into a single one. If, in the first flow, the user perceived the registration process as too complex/long and with two distinct steps (due to KYC), there’s now no separation between those two flows. By combining both, there’s a perception of a single flow and outcome:

“Your account has been created.”
